Legal prescriptions for injuries sustained during birth

April 23rd, 2007

How much accident insurance should I really have in California?

April 5th, 2007

Q. How much accident insurance should I really have in California? I hear so many different people saying so many different things, I don’t know who to trust. Can I have too much insurance or be over-insured?

Marie B.
Santa Rosa, CA

A. Marie… In the perfect world, you would want enough coverage to make sure you have no out of pocket expenses for you or anybody involved in an accident that you were involved in.

Remember, if you’ve been injured, you can always find more information at my web site Car Accident Lawyer

Personal Injury Claims for Aviation Accidents

March 22nd, 2007

Aviation litigation is complex, and can involve many facets of liability under state, federal, and international law.  There are often several potential defendants and a variety of different courts in which a trial may take place.  In addition, because air travel is regulated by two federal agencies, federal rules and regulations may factor into a personal injury claim.  Should you and your attorney decide to pursue a legal claim after an aviation accident, the potentially liable (legally responsible) parties can vary depending on the cause of the accident.  Read the rest of this entry »

Previous owner being sued for new owners accident

February 7th, 2007

Q. Today I was served with a civil lawsuit (from a personal injury car accident) that appears to have been pending for nearly a year. It turns out my name was never removed from the title after the sale. A person in a different state was involved in an accident in that state and I wasn’t. How do I resolve this?

A. Contact an attorney to respond for you. Let him help you navigate through the legal maze. You’ll need to have all your records in order, and you’ll need proof that you sold the car before the accident occured, and that you resided in a different state on the date in question.

Out of state driver accidents

December 19th, 2006

Q. I was involved in a car accident in Southern California while on my honeymoon. The driver of the vehicle that struck my car is from Virginia. I know I can file a law suit in the Sate and county where the accident occured but I’d like to know if I can file a law suit in the county where I reside?

A. You want different venues for different reasons. If you have been injured in an accident, then contact a lawyer and disscuss the pors and cons of filing in a different venue.
